That’s a really BIG word! It comes into your awareness so much right now.
· Did I make the right choice?
· What is the right choice?
· Is this right for me?
These questions apply to everything! I’m not going to discuss the obvious…the elections. I’m talking now about how we live life in general. Please allow me to share the insight that I arrived at recently.
It all started with a simple question:
Does this FEEL like the best choice for me?
Really? Yes, really. It’s as simple as that.
How does this feel for me? If I choose the other path, road or opposite option, how does that feel for/to me?
I’ve truly found it that simple because the choice I make in anything is really about what feels good for me.
Does that sound a bit selfish? Yes, it is. Yet isn’t that the path that we all should be taking?
What works best for me is also going to work best for those I love. Granted it may not be the best choice for those that do not truly understand or truly love me, but it is the best choice in the end.
A simple example for me was my lawn service. I’ve had a contentious relationship with the person doing my yard. He has a mind of his own and doesn’t seem to pay attention to what I really want. I was allowing it! That was a difficult pill to swallow! I was really and truly allowing him to do as he pleased by not honoring my own boundaries!
Another difficult awareness… After all, isn’t that what I teach!!
So, I did the best thing possible and turned it over to the Universe and as I finished up my walk, there was another lawn service at my neighbors’ home. This man was communicative and listened. He has been asked to perform service for many in my neighborhood because of his great service and follow through on requests.
Just what I had asked for!
This may seem like a simple and unimportant example, yet it was a big one for me. I made the choice to go with what feels good, not what someone else wanted me to do.
This is my litmus test for any decisions in my life now whether elections, service people, financial or business decisions, people in my life and more. And that feels GOOD!
(It also reminds me of the mantra of the 60’s: “If it feels good, do it!” Hmmmm, the hippy girl is still here!)
