We have now entered the month of June! How could that be? For over two months we’ve been listening and watching the scary news of THE virus. We’ve been sheltering at home, communicating through zoom so we can still see and hear those that are important to us, and been out and about with masks and/or gloves.
It’s time to take a look at this from a different perspective.
While on my walk this morning, I asked Source for a theme for this month’s blog. The message I received was to just look around me!
So I did. I employed all my senses to do this fun assignment divinely given.
I saw and heard the birds. How different and exciting. The birds are so happy. Nothing seems to bother them or get in their way as they keep focused on their mission in life. I have a wren’s next on my porch and the babies have hatched. Mom and Dad are flying furiously back and forth to the next to feed their brood of five. They’re totally focused and committed to raising their babies.
I saw the squirrels dashing here and there. I stopped and was entertained by one that was doing his best to get into the neighbor’s bird feeder. What a show!
I could smell the newly mowed grass of a neighborhood home.
As I walked up the hill, the breeze began to blow on this humid morning. It cooled by skin and I was so appreciative of the change.
Neighbors were out walking this morning. Each person or couple had a pleasant hello, good morning or how are you? All done with a smile and I felt happy and blessed.
As the fog lifted, the sun shone through the trees in intermittent patterns on me and the road. It was almost a game of hopscotch and it was fun!
I returned home to journal while sitting on my porch. A mockingbird serenaded me with its multiple tunes of mimicking the songs of other birds.
I talked to my son to be sure he picked up the Amazon items for my grandson to continue and reinforce his home schooling. He’s in Miami where the restrictions are a bit more stringent that here in Tallahassee. Oh, how I miss them!
I am blessed! I am whole, healthy, and well! I am loved!
I appreciate that I am here to share a message of appreciation for all that I have and experience.
What is your message for today?
