Self-sufficient, Individualistic, Clear vision, and Personal power
We celebrate Independence Day on July 4th. It’s a national holiday and a day of celebration and remembrance of our freedoms.
Being independent and free, according to the thesaurus, means self-reliance, autonomy, self-sufficient and an individual thinker.
All politics aside, and there’s plenty of rhetoric on all media, how free do you feel? Do you feel your decisions are influenced by those around you, the media, advertising or loved ones? Do you feel that you make your own decisions independently?
Let me add another word to the mix and that is CLARITY. Clarity is clear vision, clear thinking and clear action. With clarity you make your own decisions of how you are going to live in the present and create your future.
Young people are very influenced by social media. Are they handsome or beautiful enough? Are they too fat? Do they have the cool friends? Are they wearing the right clothes? Do their parents drive the cool cars? Do they live in the best houses? Do they have the newest cell phones?
How many of you as adults have the same concerns? Advertisements and social media scream at us with the message that we are not good enough. Why else would we continue to see advertisements about makeup, younger looking skin, weight reduction, youthful clothes and exercise programs.
You are continually bombarded and told how you can be better because you’re not enough.
What if you came from the place of freedom that you are enough? That you really are okay with the choices that you make in what you do for a living, where you live, the clothes you wear, the friends you have and the choices in reading, learning or movies. You have the freedom to just be who you are.
You are enough! Because you are free and independent to be enough!
What a concept! You ARE powerful!
So, let me be the first to tell you that you are perfect, handsome, beautiful and worthy and deserving of all that is good in this life. You are independent and free to make you own choices. You hold your own personal power. You are the only one that can be YOU!!
